In order to be considered for the programme, businesses must:

• Be black-owned, as per the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act of 2003
• Have been operating for at least two years
• Provide property services, in particular building and facilities management services such as security, cleaning, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, building maintenance, refurbishment, air-conditioning and waste management
• Have suitable references and prior contracts
• Have viable assessment potential for growth
• Be approved by Growthpoint’s facilities and procurement divisions
