Designed to engage and empower SMMEs, The Property Point uses a tailor-made
phased plan. These phases are:
- Extensive consultation and research into the needs of SMMEs
-
Selection of candidates
- Development, which incorporates skills training, mentoring and
apprenticeships
Property Point applies a two-pronged approach to the development SMMEs as
follows
- Incubation of a selected group of businesses, to participate in an intensive
development process. An analysis of needs is conducted on each business and a
personalised development plan is designed. Interventions are then designed or
sourced from service providers to address these specific needs. Interventions
include skills training sessions, industry specific mentorship and one-on-one
coaching.
- Presentation of information sessions hosted by industry experts, to reach a
large audience of SMMEs in the property sector. These sessions assist in
identifying a pool of participants for consideration for incubation at a later
stage. Each participating business is registered on The Property Point database,
which records all interactions to measure the socio-economic impact to the
businesses and economy.
