In 2021 Property Point was awarded the Advancing Women Empowerment Fund (AWEF) grant through the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement a 12-month Investment Readiness and Access to Finance Programme. This project is an extension of our acceleration programme which has a strong focus on women-owned businesses through business development support and access to markets.
In 2021 we hosted an Access to Finance webinar which allowed women-owned businesses to directly engage with financiers on the challenges they face in accessing finance and for the financiers to provide tips and advice on how to be successful in their funding application process. The insights gleaned from this session as well as the one-on-one interviews with financiers have been incorporated into the funding guide.
