Property Point, a Growthpoint Properties initiative, is hosting a To The Point live workshop focusing on stress management – an vital skills for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Aimed at businesses, the stress management workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel in Hyde Park on Wednesday, 20 July 2016.
The workshop will be an interactive session focusing on understanding and managing stress in the business environment, with guest speakers Ms Phuti Mahanyele and Dr Colinda Linde.
Mahanyele is the Executive Chairperson of Sigma Capital, and the former CEO of the Shanduka Group. She was awarded the Forbes Woman Africa Business Woman of the Year Award and the Platinum Award by Motlekar Holdings BBQ Awards in 2014, and is involved with the “Dignity Day” programme which is led by Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum. It focuses on re-enforcing the values of dignity in young people. She is also a Patron of NEET (National Education Empowerment Trust).
Linde is the Chairperson of the South Africa Depression and Anxiety Support Group (SADAG), and works from a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy paradigm, which encourages a collaborative effort between the therapist and client. She specialises in anxiety disorders and works extensively in the areas of stress management, work-life balance, sleep issues, assertion and mindfulness.
The workshop will look at the different types of stress, when stress is good and how to manage it within your team and business. It will also focus on understanding the causes and symptoms of stress, and managing business while maintaining a healthy personal life.
Practical examples will be given to help you implement the techniques, and a question and answer session will be held afterwards where individuals can discuss their specific situations.
The Property Point ‘Stress Management’ workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel, Hyde Park, on 20 July 2016. It will start promptly at 5:45pm and finish at 8:30pm with drinks and finger snacks being served. The investment cost is R100.00 and as seating is limited.
