Shawn has over 15 years of experience in senior management roles in both corporate and non-governmental sectors. His diverse development expertise includes designing and implementing business support services, creating market linkages between SMMEs and large corporate entities; managed and delivered complex local, regional, and international projects. Outside of his role as founder of Property Point and Entrepreneurship to the Point he is the Corporate Social Responsibility Executive at the largest JSE-listed property company in South Africa and President of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce (JCCI). Shawn is also Chair of the Social Enterprise Africa (SEAA) board and sits on multiple executive boards, including the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).

Desigan is an Economic Transformation Strategist who has over 15 years of experience with a focus on Economic Inclusion, Empowerment Financing, Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD), Transformation, and BBBEE. He has held various Senior Management roles focusing on BBBEE Transformation and Strategic Alignment at listed financial institutions. In his role as Chief Operations Officer at Property Point, he drives inclusion strategies with Small and Growing Businesses in conjunction with public, private, and international partners focusing on access to finance, markets, and business development support. Desigan has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom), he is a designated Chartered Associate of the Institute of Bankers in South Africa CAIB(SA), and he has completed a MDP in Incubation Governance (IGMDP) and recently completed an Executive Course on Impacting Investing in Africa.

Nomtha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Counselling and began her career as an intern in Bio-Medical Technology before specialising in Blood Transfusion Technology. Her interest in people development led her to serve as a Technical Trainer, Skills Trainer, and Continuing Professional Development Officer. She has spent several years in the enterprise and supplier development sector, managing, and implementing business development interventions for SMMEs.

Sipetile began her career in Multimedia Production and later found a deep interest in the Socioeconomic Development field. She has several years of experience in economic empowerment. Her consulting experience focuses on BBBEE and corporate responsibility. She has also taken a special interest in thought leadership and education, and their impact on social transformation.

Clement holds the following qualifications: National Diploma Accounting (TUT), Bachelor of Accounting Science in-Financial Accounting (UNISA), Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours in Management Accounting (UNISA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice (Henley Business School). He is the Head of Local Economic Development and Stakeholder Management at Property Point where he is responsible for stakeholder engagement and management as well as strategy design, advisory, implementation and management. Moreover, he is responsible for the design and implementation of local economic development policies for the benefit of client organisations and stakeholder communities to create shared value.

Ntsako is a self-motivated individual with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor. She holds an Honours degree in quantity surveying and a master’s degree in construction project management. Ntsako has a passion for local economic development and growth.

Xolani Qwabe believes that transformation and inclusive growth are critical in investing and creating decent jobs for South Africans. He has overseen day-to-day relationships with various stakeholders in the public and private sector. He has over 12 years of experience in SMME development and mentoring.
He holds postgraduate degrees in agriculture, project management, and business management from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Xolani is currently pursuing a Master of Commerce and an Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation through the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and PFD Business School.

Phephisa holds a National Certificate in Marketing Management and is currently pursuing a National Diploma in Project Management. He has an extensive footprint in the agriculture, social service, construction, and entertainment sectors with significant experience in project management; stakeholder relations; public relations; information management, and office administration. As an international activist, he has initiated bilateral and international programmes that positively impact development in communities.

Zanele is a Local Economic Development and Stakeholder Management and Property Point’s YES Youth graduate. She is organised and always puts her heart and passion in every task she does. Zanele believes that nothing is impossible if you are realistic and passionate about it.
“As a failed entrepreneur myself, I am most fulfilled when working in spaces that support entrepreneurs to grow and excel” Fazlyn has over 15 years of experience offering strategic marketing communications in global contexts. She is a GIBS Business School alumna where she completed Management Development, Leading Women, Finance, and Social Entrepreneurship qualifications. She has lived and worked in Asia and Guinea, West Africa, and has travelled to over 29 countries while employed in entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship development organisations. Fazlyn is a failed entrepreneur having started and sold three businesses. She is committed to creating marketing communications campaigns that elevate the conversation of entrepreneurship in South Africa and the world.

Camryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Motion Picture and is passionate about creating content that connects with people through telling stories. She believes that storytelling can help people express their individual voices and as a creative, she wants to help express that voice in factual, entertaining, and thought-provoking ways. Her belief in creating a diverse environment for individuals feeds her passion of working in different spaces where she can experience many different roles. She has over 4 years of experience in the creative industry and thrives in curating content through corporate and entertainment spaces. She has produced short films that have been showcased at SterKinerkor cinemas and continues to grow in her content production.

Mzwandile Zwane graduated with distinction from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Strategic Communication. He has experience in marketing, internal communications, public relations, and corporate communications from his experiences in the education, FMCG, and hospitality sectors. He enjoys storytelling, writing, content creation and strategy development.

Devon Patrick is a graphic designer with over six years of experience, highly adept with programmes in Adobe suite, such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. He specialises in rebranding projects, where he showcases his vast knowledge of logo design and marketing.

Khutjo Langa has over 6 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), as well as a pragmatic approach to developing and implementing development interventions. Khutjo graduated with a Bachelor of science in Physical and Mineral Sciences, with majors in Mathematics and Physics. Khutjo has attended various M&E and impact measurement and management courses at both international and local institutions. He is Property Point's Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting, he is responsible for developing and overseeing monitoring and evaluation systems to track and measure progress and success in achieving the goals of the organisation, as well as strengthening internal and external (training and support) M&E capacities. He has experience in designing research and evaluation efforts to assess impact of projects/programmes. Khutjo is naturally curious about why things work or do not work.

Letlhogonolo is an Enactus Alumna with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics and is pursuing a master’s degree in Economics. A young woman with a mind for business and a heart for the community, she strongly believes that entrepreneurship is not just about profits but is about changing lives.

Leandra is a dedicated individual, self-starter, networker, and an implementer who is goal oriented. She is always looking for a new challenge to apply her creative spark and entrepreneurial spirit. She has previously worked as an HR Officer, Training and Project Co-Ordinator, Event and Personal Assistant with a dynamic approach.

Nicole is passionate about working with people. A free-spirited individual, who has the drive and willingness to learn. A team player, that takes pride in helping other people. A self-motivated individual who possesses strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the utmost discretion and integrity in her role.

Clint Higgins is a University of Stellenbosch alumnus, holding a master’s in Development Finance and various other business qualifications. He studied part-time over the last 9 years and is a seasoned Supply Chain Management expert with 14 years of experience within public and private sector organisations. Clint is passionate about supply chain management, transformation, sustainable economic development, and small business development. He has been instrumental in the setup of multifaceted Department of Health facility upgrades and has been a Supply Chain Management advisor for multidisciplinary projects for the City of Cape Town.

Hannes is a Programme Manager at Property Point with over 9 years of experience. He is a qualified Personal Mastery Coach and is driven by a passion for developing entrepreneurs to reach their full potential.

Carmine has a communications qualification specialising in Public Relations and has obtained a Management Diploma from Gordon Institute of Business Science. She has worked in the media and construction industry for a collective 17 years and has a broad range of skills. Carmine has extensive experience in operations management, project and programme management, strategy development and client relations. She enjoys building and nurturing relationships, thrives on development both personally and in business, and has strong interpersonal communication skills.

Nomazizi has over 6 years of experience in transformation and development financing. She has worked as an Investment Associate, where she gained experience in both the Pre-Investment and Post-Investment divisions. One of her significant accomplishments was being a Covid-19 Relief Fund Task Team member and served as both a Transactor and subsequently as a Post Investment Associate. She also served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Employment Equity Committee for a publicly listed financial services company, where she was responsible for developing an Employment Equity Plan for submission to the Department of Labour among other duties.
Bradley holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Psychology and Industrial Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and works at Property Point as a Programme Manager.

Mmapula is a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Development Studies graduate and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public health. She is passionate about contributing towards the development of previously marginalised groups through the effective implementation of projects and programmes. She loves engaging with people and aims to make a positive influence in their lives.

Maphefo Sipula is a Development Economist who currently holds the role of Head of Research and Gender Lead at Property Point. She has an interest in economic research and is passionate about socio-development. Maphefo holds a Master of Science in Industrialisation, Trade and Development (Cum-Laude) from the University of Manchester. Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Development Theory and Policy and Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Applied Economics both from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has other various qualifications such as Post Graduate Diploma in Development Finance from Stellenbosch Business School. Maphefo has experience in economic research with various academic institutions and has interned at development finance institution under the leadership of the Special Envoy on Gender focusing on conducting research on gender mainstream in trade and infrastructure project. In her current role, she drives the research strategy and oversees designing and conducting research that informs decision making, policy, strategy, and programme design within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She previously served as a Gender Advisory and Design Committee member for Aspen Network Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) South African chapter where they sought to develop a solution to increase access to finance for women owned businesses.

Nozipho is a Wits Business School alumna, holding a Master of Management degree in Finance and Investments. She is passionate about writing impactful reports that can enhance the development of the ecosystems for SMMEs. She believes that access to finance, competitiveness, and effective administration of SMMEs is pivotal for economic growth.
Minenhle Phakathi is passionate about empowering and growing young women in disadvantaged communities, she was part of several programmes such as The Girl Guides and is also part of a club with the girls at Tshepo Ya Rona secondary school. , She is deeply committed to the advancement of underserved communities. She hopes to make an impact within the institution and continue holding herself accountable for her own personal growth through this internship
